49-Ramona’s Abundance Mindset

It’s Ramona’s 4 week birthday, so I checked her weight after a nappy change and found, to my distress, that she is already at 9 lbs 8 oz. As a reminder, her birthweight was 7 lb 8 oz, and it took her a full two weeks to get back to that number. after dropping down to 6 lbs 9 oz. Which means, in the two weeks from June 3rd to today she put on 2 lbs. Meanwhile, I have improved my golf game by exactly 0 strokes.

But, two consecutive days below 50 is a major feat for me. Even more impressive, as with yesterday, the round could have been much lower. I had a few looks at birdies and my blowup holes were uncharacteristic ones. Holes that used to give me tons of issues (5 and 8) are now reliably pars or bogies, and the confidence is improving. As is the gear - my Kirkland Signature wedges arrived, which means I’m no longer using a gap wedge way too long for me, a lob wedge from the 80’s via goodwill, and a sand wedge with a dislodged weight making it sound like a groan tube from the 90’s. It could be the cart, it could be my amazing wife taking the early morning shift from me and letting me get a solid 6 hours uninterrupted. Maybe I’m inspired by watching Messi to not give up all hopes of sporting without shame as I approach my 40’s, and inspired by Ronaldo and Modric to just sport shamefully anyway.

As you can see from the following, barely mathematical charts, it’s looking to be quite the close race. I’m projected to break 40 by about the end of July, and Ramona is projected to break 280 oz in the first days of August. Game on, girly.

When you just drank like a kilo of milk, dropped off a half of a kilo of poop in your nappy, Harry Kane is leading the three lions to mega success, and your dad is about to pay you $5,000 because he sucks at golf.
